The Obstetrics and Gynecology advanced series addresses the anatomy and physiology needed to accurately code the obstetrics and gynecology procedures listed below. 

  • Obstetrics – Focuses on ICD-10-PCS procedural coding for Missed abortions, D&Cs, Tubal ligations, Induction of labor, Manually assisted delivery, AROM, Obstetrical tears/lacerations, C-sections, and  In Vitro Fertilization.   Related anatomy and physiology is presented as well as an in-depth review of color coded operative reports which will greatly enhance basic skills already acquired to ensure complete and accurate coding of obstetrical ICD-10-PCS procedures.
  • Gynecology – Focuses on ICD-10-PCS procedural coding for Hysteroscopy, D&C’s, Cone Biopsy, Endometrial Ablation, Hysterectomies, Salpingo-Oophorectomy, and Tubal Ligations. Related anatomy and physiology is presented as well as an in-depth review of color coded operative reports which will greatly enhance basic skills already acquired to ensure complete and accurate coding of gynecological ICD-10-PCS procedures.

 

Some of the most challenging coding in ICD-10-PCS are found in the orthopedic procedures. This advanced series addresses the anatomy and physiology needed to accurately code common joint replacement and spinal fusion procedures

FY2018 ICD-10-CM IPPS Regulatory Update – Available Now!

This year there is a total of 393 code changes. 296 are new, 12 have been deleted, and 85 have been revised.  This presentation reviews the changes to ICD-10-CM and provides other regulatory changes such as revised MS-DRG changes. We will also cover “Unacceptable Principal Diagnosis Edits” as well as new additions to the MCC and CC list.  Join us as we highlight the upcoming ICD-10-CM changes for FY2018.
